Can I add only the compliant metadata without text on the image?

Yes. The tool writes only the file-metadata label by default; the visible badge and invisible watermark are optional and can be combined freely.

Are there rules for the visible badge size?

The standard requires the explicit label height to be at least 5% of the image's shorter side; the tool applies a fallback automatically to satisfy this.
