Want to add a Daily Word feature to your study check-in, English widget, or bot push? This endpoint gives you a stable word each day; repeated requests on the same day return the same result.

Overview

By default it returns one English word. Filter by vocabulary category, optionally include examples and phonetics, and use count to fetch multiple words at once for review lists.

Category Options

all: full English corpus for general daily picks.
cet4: College English Test Band 4 vocabulary for foundation review.
cet6: College English Test Band 6 vocabulary for intermediate review.
ielts: IELTS vocabulary for study-abroad exam prep.
toefl: TOEFL vocabulary for North American exam prep.
gre: GRE vocabulary for advanced training.

Notes

date and seed are used to reproduce a specific day's result or a fixed pick. They cannot be used together.

Are the APIs on UAPI free to use?
